-Here we have a 2011-2015 Hyundai Sonata or Kia Optima hybrid battery module. The battery pack was removed from a vehicle that was running prior to a front end collision. Battery module has been charged and balanced. The image with all the voltages shows the individual cells in three modules after going through a full charge and balance. Reference the manufacturer’s manual and warnings prior to handling batteries. Hybrid Batteries can have a voltage in excess to 500-volts. Nickel-metal Hydride and Lithium-ion batteries should never be stored together. Fluids inside battery are odorless and colorless (use caution and clean with Dilute boric acid solution or vinegar to neutralize).
