VALVE COVER ,CADILLAC 331,365,390 ,Man Cave garage VINTAGE DISPLAY, wall hanger

This is an early SINGLE Cadillac 331 V8 stamped steel, valve cover. Whether you are an early model Caddy restorer or a late model CTS-V Blackwing person, show your loyalty by displaying this ONE valve cover. This VINTAGE valve cover is NOT intended to be a restoration part,it is however an original part, NOT a chinese repro( I doubt they repro these). This cover is for the guy/gal for his ‘mancave’ / garage or her ‘she shed’. It IS an original. I removed the wire holder. I redo single or oddball, vintage hot rodor stock valve covers, but only re-do the ones with Embossed lettering(script) or raised fins. I re-do these myself with a baked on black wrinkle coat and then hand paint the script (or hand sand the fins) with a corresponding color of paint to that brand of engine or because I only do American engines I may choose Red/White/Blue. I also use satin clearcoat afterwards even on the inside so 'stuff' doesn't fall out while hanging up.

THIS valve cover is from a Cadillac 331/365 and although the engines were navy blue back then, I chose pearl Gold for the letters (hard to brush paint) because I feel that Cadillac was the ‘Gold Standard’ of hot rod engines in the day. After all, this Caddy OHV engine (also credit the Olds 303 and Chrysler Hemi) was the engine that really started the Hot rodding trend and unseated the flathead Ford. I also chose gold because the navy blue does not show well against the black.

This particular cover came out pretty well overall. The ‘wrinkle’ is even although not overly heavy. DISCLAIMER= If you are 10' away, and squint, this looks perfectly done. This is intended to be a display/conversation piece, but look around for these EARLY script covers that are this straight and you will see how much money people want for them. I had to ‘pay up’ to find a nice pair. I kept one of course for my wall.-
