Solid, has no rot. Has some average pitting typical of a used part its age. It has been sandblasted and painted with high heat engine paint. Please look at all pictures & compare to yours, as the pictures are part of the description. This was removed from a 1966 Cadillac Deville, but may fit other vehicles listed in compatibility chart; fitment is verified by Cadillac Master Parts List 3.003, please do your own research as we do not offer refunds if it does not fit your vehicle.   There are plenty of pictures & we purchased the zoom, so please use it.   What you see in the pictures is what you get.
