Pulled from my 2016. Previous owner had the stainless ring painted gloss black using a paint/primer combo.
The part of the ring that gets the most sunlight (12 o' clock area) has started to develop small spots of failing paint (see photos), some of which have been touched up. The ring looks fine from a distance but the imperfections are noticeable up close when looking down at the ring. To get it perfect, I would suggest touch up and sand, sand and repaint, or sand and vinyl wrap.
