Jeep CJ Back drive shaft 27.5'" - 30" driveshaft CJ5 CJ7 Rear

This is a used Jeep CJ rear drive shaft.

Slide is good.

U-joints are used and missing caps. Plan to replace them.

This can work on 72-86 Jeep CJ5 or CJ7  but only if the length works out for you. It was removed from a 78 Jeep CJ7 with T150 3 speed manual transmission.

It will fit other Jeep CJ applications so you really need to take a yoke to yoke measurement to compare.

My measurements are from center of u-joint cap to center of u-joint cap.

It  measures 27.5” closed and 30”  extended.

U-joint size is 1310.

You can compare this to your old drive shaft or measure on your Jeep from yoke on the transfer case to yoke on the axle at the closest point. This closest point is out on the ear where the bolt or strap attaches.

This gives you the center measurement. You will want at least 1” of play in either direction.
