1966 428 Interceptor, Street Performance Engine. It has new cam bearings, freeze plugs and freshly bored to 4.16 .030 overbore (434 CI) Block date code is 5M20 (Dec 20 1965)

Crankshaft is original to this block and is a 1U FOMOCO part that we cut .010 on the rods and mains. Main bearings are King and rods are NOS FOMOCO and Johnson .010 performance.

Heads are also original to this block and are genuine C6AE-R (poor man’s CJ Heads) and have new Stainless Steel Cobra Jet valves 2.09/1.65 and were just gone through and are custom setup for this camshaft. These heads will flow very close to the C8OE-N Cobra Jet heads. New performance springs, retainers and keepers. Date codes are 6A3 (Jan 3, 1966) and 5M28 (Dec 28,1965)

Intake Manifold is from a 1967 but works great with this setup. It’s a true FORD Police Interceptor Aluminum Intake with zero damage. It was painted before I got it so just be aware of that. It looks great 👍

Camshaft selection is Edelbrock’s Performer RPM Hydraulic Flat Tappet camshaft with .572 lift and 289 Duration with a 108 lobe separation so it’s going to sound aggressive. Pulls very hard from 1500-6500 RPM and should produce 435 or more horsepower and 460 lbs of torque. Automatics should consider a 2000 stall converter for best efficiency. Please see pictures of the NOS FOMOCO lifters, not the cheap stuff available today.

Complete reconditioning of the connecting rods with Speed Pro Hyperutectic Pistons (balanced) and Hastings Rings .030 over bore.

New Holley Brawler 650 CFM carburetor along with a new Petronix Ignition System with a Flamethrower 45000 volt coil. Installed new Platinum 45s and set gap. New 7mm Petronix wires. Spark will not be an issue 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍.

New Melling M57 oil pump with new pickup tube will provide plenty of lubrication throughout the engine. I Installed oil reduction plugs in the heads with a smaller hole to reduce the amount of oil to the top end. You no longer have to worry about too much oil pumping into the heads and starving the main bearings. This is a must on any FE Engine Build.

Also comes with a new CJ oil pan, new rockers, fuel pump, 428 oil filter adapter, vacuum hoses, fuel line, spark plugs, wires, water pump with alternator brackets.

This is a true representation of FORD’s 428 Interceptor. Block, heads, rods, crankshaft, intake, oil filter adapter, PCV System are all true FOMOCO parts.
