  This is a 3 wires version with plug has been cut but you can easily swap the defective unit plug over and connect it to the 3 wires.  Should be an easy job.  Please carefully check to make sure your current mirror is the 3 wires version without rain sensor and headlight dimming option.  I am not responsible for wrong purchase as I have buyer left me a negative feedback due to he purchased the wrong unit and claim that I did not say it is a 3 wires version.   Thanks for your understand.   Some unit might come with a shorter pigtail than the one show in the pictures depending on availability at the time of purchase.**

The auto dimming will darken the mirror automatically when the cars behind you or on the side is too bright or with high bean as well as cars from opposite direction with to bright headlight or high bean.   It will then clears back to normal when the brightness reduce from cars  in front or behind automatically.
