COMMENT (Please read):  HERE'S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PART.   THERE IS SOME VERY MINOR EROSION AT THE WATER MATING SURFACES AND THERE CLOSE UP PICTURES OF ALL THE WATER CONTACT AREA DOWN BELOW SO YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF HOW MIINOR IT IS.   SOMEWHERE DURING IT'S LIFE, SOMEONE CHANGED ONE OF THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING BOLT HOLES TO 5/16".   LOOKS LIKE A HELICOIL IN THERE.   I HAVE NO IDEA WHY.   IT WON'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE TO THE MANIFOLD, YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO RUN ONE 5/16" AND ONE 3/8" BOLT.   ALL THE THREADS ARE PERFECT AND LIKE NEW.   ALL HAVE BEEN CHASED AND CHECKED, INCLUDING THE BIG NPT FITTING BOSSES.   IT HAS JUST BEEN MEDIA BLASTED AND MOUNTED, IT LOOKS ABOUT LIKE NEW.

When the first Arab oil embargo hit in 1973, and the price of gas “soared” to over 70 cents a gallon (Doesn’t that sound great now?), Edelbrock came out with a gas saver performance manifold series called Streetmasters.   It didn’t take long before people started playing with them and discovered that they could do amazing things.   They are at least the equal of a Performer for low end torque and mileage, and will outperform a Performer, Performer RPM, or Torker all through the mid-range up to slightly over 6,000 rpm.   With a few simple modifications, they will outperform a Torker all the way while still retaining low end performance.   It is set up to use an EGR valve.

This Streetmaster is for small block MOPARS 318/340/360.   I personally think these are best on stock to wild 318’s.   It will make it feel like a 383 on the low end, with a mid range and top end about like a Torker.  On a 318, they're good from idle to 6500 rpm. On a 340, they're good from idle to about 6200 rpm. They will work on stock to built 340’s, but I don’t recommend them for 360’s as the manifold sits stock.   Remove the better part of the large “obstructor” in the plenum, and it will handle any small block.   It’s actually very simple to do, and the fact that it’s aluminum makes it easy. Modified, they're great on a 360 from idle to about 6200 rpm. These manifolds feature a small plenum and smallish runners, all of which add up to give extremely high velocity to the air/fuel mixture making a denser charge in the cylinders.   The Performance of this manifold will flat out stun you.   While I wouldn’t recommend a Streetmaster for a flat out racing engine, it’s a great choice for anything below that level.   It IS a master of the streets.

This one was just media blasted and looks great.   It is set up for an EGR valve but the egr ports are currently plugged.   if you need to run EGR, just remove the plugs.
