Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 exhaust ANSA Sport resonator with chrome tailpipes

A very rare ANSA rear exhaust section rear resonator assembly with chrome tailpipes. The highly sought after ANSA Sport exhaust system has been unavailable for many years. While not a new part, this resonator assembly looks great. It can be fitted to the original BJ8 silencers or muffler rear pipe section. ANSA Sport exhausts were a very high quality system that last for many years as they did not scrimp on the metal. ANSA Sport and Abarth systems were the best sounding exhausts.   This resonator is likely 20- 25 years or so old and is not perfect as it is vintage. I can say it has many years of service life remaining and still has the original crinkle paint.   The last photo shows some rust pinholes on the bottom. The chrome tail pipes are in excellent condition.

As a back story, I fitted a new ANSA system to my 1966 BJ8 in the late 1970's. Around 2010 or so I noticed that the bottom of the resonator had some rust holes. New ANSA parts were no longer available so we removed it and cut away the rusty section and welded a metal patch. The vintage metal was good enough to do that. So I can't say enough about ANSA Sport systems except they were the best for any car they made a Sport exhaust for and a real shame they are no longer made.
