INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

Please read the following information before installing this compressor

To prevent any issue with our compressor and to avoid unnecessaries replacement, a waste of time, money and even put at risk the warranty we always recommend do the right job from the beginning following all proper installation procedure, changing all necessaries parts (drier, expansion valves, condenser, etc.)   and get it done by an AC certified technician.

The compressor you are replacing has failed for some reason, and it is important that you find out the cause of the compressor failure before installing our compressor, a step that allow you to avoid the pain of multiple replacement. 80% of compressors fail because of a lack of lubricating (oil) or because of the blockage of the system. Remember, 60% of the oil in the refrigeration system should be in the compressor. So, if the total amount of oil in the system is 200 ML (6.76oz) then the compressor should have 130ML (4.39oz) of oil (our compressor is shipped dry, you will need to add the amount of oil that your car requires). Because the refrigerants are circulating in the system with oil, and finally they flow back to the compressor. If the reason for the failure of the original compressor is that there is not oil or there is not enough oil, then the system has a leakage of refrigerant or a place to block, preventing the lubricating oil from flowing back to the compressor. The residue and blockage in the system prevent the normal oil from flowing back to the compressor during the day. If you don’t fix the leak and blockage, this compressor will also fail. Please follow these steps to install the compressor.

1.Confirm the correct amount of refrigerant on board according to the requirements of OEM. If the refrigerating capacity of the car is insufficient, the amount of refrigerant should be increased. Refer specifically to OEM instructions.

2.After the old compressor is taken down, drain out the oil in it. In this way, turn the compressor upside down and shake the position above the middle of the compressor to pour out the oil. Pour the used oil into a clean cup to see if there is any residue and stains in it. Both variable and Sanden compressors have an oil plug that should be removed before pouring oil.

3.If the oil poured out of the old compressor is a thousand clean and has 60% or more of the OEM requirements, flush out remaining oil in the system. At this time, it is necessary to determine why the original compressor failed.

*Did the clutch burn out?

*Is the voltage output from the system to the clutch correctly?

*Is the shaft seal of the compressor or gasket of the cylinder block leaking?

If it is one of the above problems, then it is the compressor problem. If the condenser fan fails, it will cause the air flow to reach the condenser to weaken, so that the refrigeration system does not get the required heat.

4.If there is not oil or not enough oil in the compressor, there may be a freon leak in the system, find the leaked part, fix it, or replace it, and do not use sealant in the system.

5.If the car is 1996 or updated point and there is dirt in the compressor oil or contains metal fragments, you need to replace the condenser. Rinse hoses and evaporators with soluble solvents, do not rinse with oily solvents, and ensure that the entire system is as clean as possible before installing the compressor.

6.Next, make sure to add 4oz of oil in our compressor, (ours is dry). Before installing the compressor make sure that the system has the recommended amount of oil too. If the compressor has the amount of oil required but the system doesn’t have enough this will lead to compressor failure any way

7.It takes at least 45 min to clean the system, a process that removes residual solvents and moisture. It does take you sometime to find out why the old compressor fail; however, it is important to determine the cause behind the failure. If the original problem is not corrected, then the refrigeration system will have the same problem, incorrect diagnosis and repair of the problem will waste your time and money.
