2004-2008 Acura TL Type-S Brembo Brake Setup, Calipers,Rotors,Spindles,Hoses

I had them installed on my 2004 Acura TL Base with an automatic transmission.

The calipers are A1 Cardone brand remanufactured. I believe they are actual brembo calipers with the raised lettering just ground off the back so they could sell them as their own brand. Reason I believe this is because I had to send in my factory calipers as cores. I painted the calipers silver because they came as raw aluminum and I did not want them to corrode as I live in Minnesota and we use salt in the winter months on the roads (paint is ceramic caliper paint but finish is not great, you can see brush strokes). One bolt hole on each caliper has been helicoiled. I made the mistake of using the old bolts and two went in fine and the other two ended up going in wrong and stripped the threads, so I helicoiled the bad holes and purchased new bolts and now everything is good. (Pictured with old bolts but will come with new ones installed)

Spindles were painted with rust reformer and then with black epoxy spray paint.

Replaced the lower ball joints with Moog brand ball joints.

The brake hoses are braided stainless steel, and as you can see the drivers side was rubbing on my tire when I turned hard right and broke through the plastic coating (does not hurt the performance of the hose). I bought the brake hose kit from Heeltoeauto.com.

Everything worked fine when I had them on but then winter hit and I did not test fit the wheels I ordered my winter tires for and they did not clear the calipers. So instead of ordering different tires for the type-s wheels I switched back to the factory base calipers and I do not plan on switching back. Calipers, hoses and lower ball joints have less than 500 miles on them.

Price reflects calipers not having the raised brembo lettering on back, minor flaws and being sold as a set compared to separate parts. Also rotors and pads are used but still in good shape.
