2003 VW New Beetle Silver Metallic Genuine Fuel Fill Door 1C0 809 857C 1998-05.

Silver metallic in color.

Fuel door is in excellent working condition.

Flap works properly with hinge pin/rivet intact. Hinge is firm and tight with no wear or damage.   True and square.

Fuel door tab is intact. Keeps flap shut when fuel door shuts flush.

Rear rubber circumference edge trim alleviates any paint wear on metal body panels.

Paint finish is great. Very minor superfical wear. Usually due to routine trips to the car wash.

Silver paint does show great. Not bad considering 24+ years of use on the road.

No chips around outside edge due to accidental fuel nozzle dings...

Fuel cap in excellent working condition. Rubber seal makes for an airtight/vacuum tight fit.

No "tether" holding cap in place during gas station stops.  This model year, the cap just fit on the top edge of the fuel door.

Rubber gas flap covers cap when door is closed. When fuel door is open, the rubber flap protects the fender paint.

Rubber seal surrounding fuel neck is soft and pliable...no splits or cracks. Helps excess fuel drain down the molded bottom hole onto the ground.

May have sound deadener/rust proofing overspray on backside of unit.

Fuel requirements label is still adhered to inner door hinge.

Rear mounting tabs (2) intact...makes for a secure slide-in/push-in fit into the rear fender well opening.
