I bought this 2 years ago to do a custom supercharger project and I never could figure out a good way to mount it on to my Subaru engine without having to do a lot of custom fab work, so I decided to go a different route. I never used it, but I did spin it up using an electric drill. No unusual sounds and it blew out a lot of air even at the low speed the drill could turn it at. I know nothing more about the condition.
