Selling my 1985 VW Vanagon Tin Top. This is a complete ground up rebuild. Completely fresh build. Over $16,500 invested, not including labor. Only driven to test drive.Engine is swapped with Volvo B230 Redblock engine known for reliability and easy maintanance. If you know Volvo B230s from the brick style Volvos you know that these engines are built to last. Engine was completely re-sealed, along with all new gaskets and belts. Engine heads have been plained, cleaned, and inspected. Equipt with dual Reed Moral Dcoe 40 carburetors, making this a complete mechanical set up with no computers (ECU) making this as simple and easy to work on if needed.

Brake, and suspension: Using 235 75 R15 MT on a 2.5 lift. New brakes, rotors, calipers, pads, bearings, drums, bushings, tires, wheels, adapters, brake lines, tie rod ends, ball joints, (upper and lower) rides very smooth and reacts as it should.

Exterior was repainted using TCP Global liner paint thinned by 15% for a smoother feel which is very durable for back country driving. Lifted 2.5 inches with MT tires this torquey machine can take you where the stock aircooled or wasserbox cant.

Interior was completely gutted repainted and redesigned. Cedar panel ceiling, led lights up top, in cabin and living area. BMW E90 sport seats which are heated and power controlled. Gps speedometer custom upgraded tachometer and turn signals including battery warning light. Full size bed with tons of room for storage underneath as well as shelving storage bins and nooks.

This is my 3rd Vanagon build with the same exact setup. I driven mine to several National parks around the country with no worries of being left on the side of the road. Im a long time Volvo enthusiast, and am confident on the reliability of this drivetrain. Wanting to build a reliable Vanagon was the goal and l think we are here.

With plenty of room to continue to customize to your liking, with enough space in 12v accessory fuse box to add any extra powered accomidations.
