It's turning 53 years old soon (made in September 1971) and certainly carries it's age quite well. Functionally, it works great. The adjuster toggle lever flows nicely through all of the adjustable positions -- See VIDEO (forthcoming). It has the original dated glass for the mirror, and it's very reflective._**
Overall the mirror housing is well above average (but notch under Excellent). All 4 sides of the mirror head have an unusually very good and even shine -- lacking in haze, fade or fogginess. The top and both the left and right side have no pitting. There are a few micro pinhead pits on the bottom side (that you don't see when mounted). Same for the base, barely a few micro pinhead on the forward side and none on that rest. Trust me, that's rare! Superb shine. There is also a nick on the lower left side of the mirror head.
The highly visible head backside (brushed finish) is Superb. No pitting, nice and even brushed finish. Amazing survivor. I'd call this mirror "Very Good Condition+ " or close to being "Near Excellent"....but not quite Excellent" (I'm a hard but fair grader!). The shiny chrome gets extra points here for lacking in haze, fade or fogginess. F **_unctionally works great too.
