This air cleaner base is in good original condition as shown. I see no breaks, modifications, or repairs to this piece. It looks to have had a carburetor fire at some point. Other than paint damage, there is no other damage from the fire. I decided to leave it as it is since there is no question this is an original part as it is. There is some light surface corrosion where the paint is missing and no rot. This air cleaner base will restore to a very high level. These original 383 air cleaner bases are very hard to find.
