1939-1941 FORD MERCURY REBUILT 2012 volt GENERATOR

My prices are lower than other rebuilders because I am 81 years old and these need a new home.

This is a generator REBUILT by me. I have over 50 years experience rebuilding alternators, generators and starters. It has been completely disassembled, cleaned and tested. The armature has been turned and under cut and checked on the growler for shorts. It has new sealed bearings (does not need oiling), new brushes, reassembled and tested on my test bench. It bench tests at 35 amps and 14 volts output NEGATIVE ground output.

This generator has been converted to 12 volts using later model Ford generator parts. It will need a voltage regulator for 1956-61 Ford product.. .

I have been rebuilding generators and starters since September 1960.   I can remember thinking at that time “I sure hope I don’t have to do this for the rest of my life”. Well… that was over 50 years ago and 10’s of thousands of rebuilds later. My specialty has always been the “odd balls” as my former boss called them. The Antique - Classic - and Industrial Units. You name it and I have probably rebuilt one in my lifetime. I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor. (item 2854)
