It has been used briefly. The problem with the carburetor may be that the float or needle valve is stuck. Disassemble the carburetor and adjust it. Float and clean the needle valve and the carburetor will stop leaking.

I have been doing it for three years and I am really good at it. I put everything at factory spec: Floats 7/16” at closed (Edelbrock), 35mm (Weber) Bleed screws at 1.5 turns out from seated (Edelbrock), 1 turn out (Weber) Idle screw at 1.5 turns from beginning to open blades I spray all my rebuilds with Sharkhide, it will protect the aluminum from oxidizing for a few years.
