This is an original Lucas generator that was removed from a running 1970 MG Midget. It has been on the shelf for about 5 years. I intended to reuse it and bought a new belt for it, but ended up rewiring the car and installed an alternator.

This is a Lucas 15ACR alternator 23634 (no cover or pulley) rebuilt decades ago by South Side Motors out of Huntsville, Alabama. Has a pretty wide interchange, including a 1971-1972 Triumph Spitfire, GT6, Austin America’s, Minis, Cortinas, etc. Everything looks nice and spins well. I ended up with a lot of starters, alternators, generators rebuilt by South Side Motors, and they did an excellent job.
