Borg Warner Part No: 1352-055

Manufacturer: Borg Warner

Part Number: 1352-055

Mileage: unknown

Here is a T5 manual 5 speed trans from a 1984 S10 with the 2.2 Isuzu diesel engine.   Tag # is 1352-055.   These are very hard to find.   This truck had around 85,000 miles on it. From what I can tell, the input shaft and throw out bearing collar are specific to the Diesel and will not fit a gas engine.   I disassembled the trans enough to inspect it and as you can see from the pictures, this thing is in amazing condition.   It still had the fluid in it when I got it.   It was a little dirty but there was no foreign material, metal shavings/chunks or anything in it.   The pictures really tell the story. The shifter is nice and tight.   It shifts well and every thing spins nicely.   There looks to be a good gap between the synchro and gear so I don't think they have much wear.   I wouldn't hesitate to just clean it up and run it.   You will need to reseal the top cover, tail housing and shifter as it was disassembled. There are no gaskets on these-they just used RTV from the factory.   I would recommend replacing the tail seal as well since it will be off anyway.   The exterior is pretty grimey.   I am assuming the engine had a decent oil leak as this trans has a pretty good layer on it but it should clean up nicely.   I just cleaned the paper tag with a dry rag and look how nice it cleaned up.   It includes the shifter and boot.   I will not bother to reassemble the shifter block and detent since you will have to disassemble them again anyway to pull the tail housing back off but all of the parts are included.   These are pretty easy to assemble/disassemble and there is plenty of info and videos out there showing how to do it if you are not familiar. This will be shipped in a wooden crate and insured.   Depending on when it sells, it may take me a few days to get it crated and shipped out.   Feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
