Warranty Requirements ENGINES: Engines are guaranteed against rod knock, cracked block, and excessive smoking for a period of 101 days. Any wear items that may be shipped with the engine that are not covered under the warranty are cables, coils, filters, hoses, injectors, sensors, spark plugs, timing belt/chain, water pump, or wiring. Even if the wear items are shipped with the engine, they are not covered under warranty because it is suggested that cables, coils, filters, hoses, injectors, sensors, spark plugs, timing belt/chain, water pump, and wiring are replaced when you have the engine installed. Warranty claims must be verified by a certified mechanic that it was properly installed. TRANSMISSIONS: Most transmissions are shipped without transmission fluid and a filter to ensure that you install a new filter. Automatic transmissions must have the pan removed and a new filter and gasket installed. The only exception is if it is a sealed transmission without a removable pan. The transmission cooler must be replaced with a new aftermarket cooler. The transmission lines must be thoroughly flushed to remove all debris and contamination from the previous transmission. A receipt must be produced to show that a new cooler has been purchased. Use only the torque converter that was shipped with the transmission. The torque converter must be checked to make sure it is lined up properly and reseated in case it shifted while in shipment. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended fluid type that is listed in your owner’s manual. If any sensors are shipped with the transmission they are not warrantied since it is recommended that they be replaced. The transmission must be programmed to you vehicle by a certified mechanic. Warranty claims on the transmission will need to be verified by your certified mechanic that the transmission was installed properly. AXLES: Axles the have a u-joint in them are shipped with the u-joint still attached. U-joints are a wear item and are not covered under warranty. All u-joints need to be replaced with new ones before you install the axle. Rear axles that have a backing plate may be shipped with the backing plate on them, but the backing plate is not warrantied. You will need to install a new backing plate before installing in your vehicle. Brake parts are not included with the axle. If you are using this part for any other application other than what is exactly listed for, warranty will be void and return is not permitted. These are used parts, so normal wear and/or corrosion can be expected due to the vehicle age and location. If the part fails to operate correctly within the 101 days we will first replace the part with a equivalent replacement part. If we do not have an equivalent part in stock we will offer a refund with the return of the part. It is our choice of sending a replacement or giving a refund. Engines and transmissions are shipped strapped down to a wooden pallet that is approximately 48 x 40 inches wide. We ship with a variety of freight carriers depending on your location and shipping needs. We can ship engines and transmissions to a freight terminal, to a business or to a residence. If you do not have a loading dock or a fork lift to unload the item we can ship it with a lift gate service. The lift gate service will unload the pallet from the truck and leave it in your driveway, you are responsible for the item from there. IAppointments are required for lift gate services, so it will add a few days onto the shipping time. We can not ship engines and transmissions to an apartment building.
