For sale is a DRIVER SIDE SEAT RECLINER lever. Has BLACK PLASTIC handle and on hinge.

FITS 1991-97 FORD EXPLORER 4-DOOR.

DIAGNOSING STEPS BEFORE PURCHASING LEVER (helps to get correct part needed)

1.   Check underside and remove plastic seat trim and VERIFY the type of lever your vehicle has mounted.

2. Verify the correct fitment with pictures.

3. With Seat in the upright position and handle in the lowered (locked position) grab top of seat and see if your able to push the top seat backwards or forwards? If you are able to can you see the lever move with the seat as your pushing top seat backwards/forwards?

4. Looking at the side of your metal seat base can you see any cracks in the metal? If so the lever is not the issue but instead the seat frame is broken and will need replacing.

5. If there are no cracks on the metal seat tray, Seat lever in locked position push seat top backwards/forwards. When doing so feel on the top side of seat frame for a broken bolt. If you can feel the seat at top move then it is possible you have a broken bolt on top side of seat frame.

6. Will require removing the seat skin and foam and then placing onto the replacement metal frames that we also stock and sell.

Lever has been cleaned and inspected and gears are not stripped.

When the lever is lifted the spring tilts the seat forwards and when handle is released it locks in place.

DOES NOT come with the (4) mounting bolts or the metal bushing placed inside the top hole/bolt. Bolts can be purchased if needed.
