73-76 Chevrolet Truck Tailgate. Condition is "Used".

Bought this for my 77 Chevy short bed, I’m doing a high end restoration on. Just before I started to media blast it, I noticed it was different. Did not realize there are different designs for 73-80! Make sure it fits your truck. The latch assembly is different on the ends and trunnions. There is an open trunnion on the bottom of right side to be able to remove the tailgate. 73-74 are closed and have to be unbolted to take them off the truck. 75-76 has the one end slotted for removal. This will work also on the 73-74. Just won't be able to do the quick remove. Difference is distinct. Compare to what you have first. I was sick that it would not work on my 77, as this is the nicest tailgate I have ever seen for one of these trucks! It’s perfectly straight. I don’t see that any body filler will be needed. The handle assembly is nice and tight. It was an early take off with its original paint! Still has the Chuck Hutton Chevrolet emblem on it. Longtime Chevy dealer in Memphis still in business today.

I'm located in southeast Missouri, with easy access to interstate 55. Just north of Memphis. I may consider shipping, if the buyer is willing to help get it set up. Will not be easy I assume. I picked it up when I bought it.
