Cadillac Rear Bumper Jack Back Shaft Trunk Accessory 1957-1962?

This GM bumper jack looks to be the style used from a 1957 through 1962. If you can help identify it with certainty please let me know. We recently purchased a lot of mostly 1951 thru 1962 Cadillac parts there are some parts that I am simply not able to identify. Per eBay policy this item has not been tested so it is listed as parts not only working. See pictures for condition and wear.
